photo Bill Berg

Bill is a fabulous teacher who teaches all over NYC and is in high demand. We are so pleased to have him back on staff with us this fall! His warm-hearted, fun-loving energy is infectious. Bill has been teaching Music Together classes since the summer of 2002, and has been fortunate to take his skills and joy of music-making to various parts of the country, teaching in and around New York City, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. The son of a music teacher, performer and jazz lover, Bill has long enjoyed a wide variety of musical influences and is an actor, performer and improviser in his own right. With no children of his own (yet), Bill likes to think of himself as a professional uncle, as he naturally gravitates to the freedom of play and silliness generally seen in young children. His classes are high-energy celebrations of music and movement where everyone's bound to leave with a smile on their faces and a little more spring in their step!

She has been enjoying teaching Music Together and is excited to join our staff!

A native of Nebraska, Angela holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Ohio University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from University of Nebraska, Kearney. She teaches piano throughout Manhattan and Queens, and is a piano faculty member at The New School for Music Study near Princeton, New Jersey. Her teaching experience includes private lessons, group classes, and repertoire classes for children and adult students of all ages. As an accompanist, she has a variety of experience that include choral, vocal, and instrumental.

photo Nikolai Moderbacher (sub)

Some of Nikolai's earliest and best memories include his mother playing the guitar and singing folk songs with him and his older brother. Fast-forward 30 years and he has been providing those same experiences for his daughter.
Since the beginning of his teaching career, starting with Bilingual kindergarten classes in the Bronx and continuing on with Music together since 2005, Nikolai has felt a deep connection to singing with others. He considers himself truly lucky to be working and creating in this field of family music and education.
In recent years Nikolai has also been performing his own original funky family folk music around town with his band NikosKids (www.nikoskids.com). HIs 3rd and latest release "In This Moment" (2013) was selected by A Child Grows In Brooklyn as a top parent pleaser. You can catch NikosKids live at The Moxie Spot in Brooklyn Heights or join him in song in one of his Music Together classes in Bed Stuy!

Anne has been teaching Music Together for many years now and loves how perfectly matched Music Together is with her talents and interests. She strongly believes that musical activity is an essential part of life for everybody, not just a select few, and is delighted to have found a career path that actually requires silliness rather than discouraging it.

Anne is a professional singer and actress, a multi-instrumentalist and an avid dancer. Singing everything from opera to honky tonk, she has performed throughout the Northeast. She holds a BA in music from Wesleyan University and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Hunter College. She is also a member of Cherub Improv, a comedy improvisation group that gives workshops and performances in social services settings. We are delighted to have Anne joining our staff this summer!
